Hi, I still exist.
Not much at all has happened since my last update. Which is shit, really. It's summer and I'm sitting in the house all day every day because I have nothing to do, except on the two or three days a week when I visit Chris or he visits me. I haven't seen any of my friends in weeks, and for some reason I've become convinced that they all hate me, which means that just the thought of contacting them pushes me very close to a panic attack: I'll be seeing them at Jack's birthday dinner next week and I'm terrified, for no reason at all.
I also get my exam results on Tuesday, and I'll find out what university I'll be going to. I'm quietly confident that I did enough to get into Strathclyde, but I'm still worried as hell about it, enough that I'm really struggling to sleep. If my insurance choice was maths I'd not be so worried, but it's chemistry at UWS: yeah, I'll definitely be going to university next month, but it could be the wrong course at the wrong university and then I have to rethink what I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to be a maths teacher, can't do that with a chemistry degree.
EDIT(07/08/12): I got the results I needed to get to Strathclyde and do maths, and I am very excited!
Long story short, when I'm not with Chris I'm pretty fucking miserable and stressed at the moment.
However, I don't want to be too depressing, so I'll share a story of something that happened a couple of days ago that I found amusing.
My Dad is called Robert. More often, he gets called Bob. He doesn't have a middle name. I know this because his passport has no middle names in it, and because I remember having a class discussion about middle names in Primary 1(when I was four or five) and that night I asked Dad if he had a middle name and he said no, and I remember feeling sorry for him because I thought middle names were brilliant(children attach significance to the silliest things sometimes). I didn't think twice about it though: why would I?
The other night, I was sitting filling in applications for my parents and I to get our passports renewed, and Mum came into the room. She looked at what I was typing, saw that under the "forename(s)" section for Dad I had put Robert, and asked if I was just putting in Robert. The conversation then went something like this:
Me: ...well, yeah, Dad doesn't have any middle names, right?
Mum: What? Why did you think that?
(I then explained the whole thing where Dad told me he didn't have any, and the lack of them on the previous passport)
Mum: So, seriously, you don't know?
Me: So he does have middle names?
Mum: (laughing uncontrollably) Yes, his middle names are Noel and Alfred.
I then joined her with the uncontrollable laughter, because, well, what kind of name is that? Robert Noel Alfred. Or Bob Noel Alfie, as I am now going to call him until the day he dies(not really, I'm a good daughter).
The actual name isn't even what's really funny though. It's the fact that I've lived with Dad for almost seventeen and a half years now and he's so embarrassed by his name that not only did he never mention his middle names, he explicitly denied having any, for all that time. I like to think that Mum never knew until their wedding ceremony and she started laughing when she heard "Do you, Robert Noel Alfred...", because that would be brilliant. Someone build me a time machine so I can go back to 1981 and find out.
Though deciding on the spot to name your child Noel because he was born on Christmas Day is quite funny. No wonder we don't get on with Dad's mother.

I hope you get good results.
As an aside, my husband is a maths teacher and he has a science degree majoring in maths and physics with masters in physics! So its more about science for him than maths but he's a maths teacher... so don't give up hope! There's more than one way to get to the same outcome!!
We had a priest at school called Father Noel so we used to call him Father Christmas!

Wow, that story about your dads middle name is just brilliant! I have one too about my dad...
We were in this theme park place, my sister and parents. My sister managed to get lost, and walked around until she got back to the hotel we were staying at. Naturally all of us were freaking out since my sister was only around 8 at the time!
My sis went to the reception and asked if she could call our dad. She said his first and last name, and the lady at the reception said there was no one by that name staying at the hotel. The reason: his passport had a middle name which my sister didn't know about, and the hotel assumed the middle name was part of his whole name!
(don't worry, we eventually found my sister!) hehe

Your poor dad! I'd be mortified if my dad had middle names he was hiding from me... but no doubt, he'd likely have some very silly ones and I'd annoy him to no end. Nah, I'm a good daughter too. 
What's hilarious is that in high school I had friends named - wait for it - Robert, Noel and Alfred. 
My boyfriend's sister was named Christine because she was born near Christmas. It's weird, my mum chose my brother's and my middle names based on ones she liked. But apparently I was named after Georgie Parker (an actress). My middle names are Celestine and Priscilla, the latter which was taken from my mum's second name.
I think having middle names is brill too though.
I might add that my boyfriend James's middle name is Tin Kin and he hates the hell out of it.
